| The South Australian Classic Speedway
Association has an objective of restoring speedway vehicles from
the golden years of "Speedway in South Australia", typically the
1950s and 1960s.
There are in the club a vast range of bikes and
cars, including solo bikes, sidecars, TQ's, speedcars,
supermodifieds and stockcars.
The vehicles have been lovingly restored to a race condition
though modern safety rules mean they can only be displayed or run
under strict control at speedway tracks in South Australia and
interstate.
Annually, the South Australian Classic Speedway Association
conducts a Classic Speedway Meeting and is joined by interstate
clubs to produce the largest meeting of its kind in
Australia.
Typically up to 150 entries are received.
The Murray Bridge event is an Annual Highlight of the Classic
Clubs and spectators who enjoy seeing the bikes and cars of old
return to the speedway track.
